Mission
“The Mission of the NCDC
Northeastern Child Development Center is to provide our
children with the opportunity to enhance the quality of
their development by offering programs that foster
social, emotional, physical, and educational growth.”
When your child becomes a part of
our program, we want you to feel that this is their
special place away from home. At the Child Development
Center, we encourage children to build roots here
through daily activities. Through these activities,
children will learn to experiment on their own and have
the courage to grow “wings” and challenge themselves to
be the best they can be. We are dedicated to the
development of self-help skills and a positive
self-esteem in each child. This is accomplished through
the age-appropriate activities set up by the teachers.
We want you to feel that we have started your child off
with a healthy beginning.
General Information
The NCDC Northeastern Child
Development Center has the resources and is committed to
offering high quality child care programs that help
children take the first step on the road to a healthy
lifestyle. The center is staffed by caring
professionals who lead the children in age-appropriate
activities and encourage them to investigate the world
they live in. We are a community-minded program that
will provide a safe, warm, and nurturing center for your
child. It is the responsibility of the center to
provide a place where your child can be challenged, yet
feel warm and secure.
The center is open Monday through
Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The program is
licensed by the state of North Carolina and will follow
all regulations of the state. The center provides care
for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Since we
believe in equal opportunity childcare, we do not
discriminate because of race, religion, sex, handicap,
or national origin. The center is closed for the
following major holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther
King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of
July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and
two days at Christmas. Reminders will be posted in each
classroom before the holiday occurs.
